Let's be honest! Drinking tons of water, cleansing your face, and eating sugar-free will not always give you your dream skin despite what the "organic" celebrities admit. I have so many friends who eat and drink healthy, do everything told, but still see pimples when looking in the mirror. I don't take care of my health as much as they do but, I truly love having acne-free days with the least effort possible. So, today, I am introducing to you my favorite skincare products.
CeraVe
I will start with the CeraVe brand. two of the products I'll mention bear the name of this brand. The reason why I trust CeraVe from the heart is that it has never failed me for more than 2 years.
CeraVe has been fascinating to everyone since 2005. This brand is assertive to find solutions for very common skin problems such as acne, eczema, and dry skin that it is the #1 dermatologist-recommended skincare brand. And, CeraVe gets its name from hosting three essential ceramides in its every product.
What are Ceramides?
Ceramides are lipids that make up to 50% of the skin composition which help repair the skin barrier and moisturize the skin. They are naturally occurring lipids in our skin and are essential for the effectiveness of the protective skin barrier. When ceramides are low: dryness, itching, and irritation can be observed on the skin. CeraVe products aim to overcome these problems with the 3 basic ceramides they contain.
I tried three CeraVe products, but there are many more you can still go and buy.
Since my skin is acne-prone and oily, I use the Foaming Facial Cleanser for Normal and Oily Skin, it is fragrance-free, and that is a great feature because many dermatologists agree that the fragrance is irritating for the skin.
I have seen a lot of benefits with morning and evening use. My skin became pimple-free, softer, and more hydrated. Some are saying that it dries and damages the skin, but I did not experience any of these and loved the product. The skin type may play a huge role in satisfaction.
Also the large size i.e. 473 ml one which I prefer, is very long-lasting. You don't need to use too much product, therefore, it is so much economical than many other skincare products as some small amount is enough to show its effects.
I also use the Daily Moisturizing Lotion, another product of the CeraVe brand. It moisturizes and helps restore the protective skin barrier of the face and the body. It is a product suitable for both face and skin use, it has a very thin structure and is easy to absorb.
This product totally removes the dry feeling and leaves perfectly smooth and moisturized skin after each use. I used this product on a night and when I woke up, it was so incredible not to feel my skin like a rock after washing my face.
For me, it is important to use creams that are absorbed quickly because I am not one of those who like the "wet" feeling on the skin and I do not like the product staying on my skin for so long. That's why it's one of the ideal and practical products for me.
For the toner, La Roche-Posay Effaclar Toner, the use of tonic is very important for skincare, this tonic both refreshes and cleanses deeply. This toner was so good at reducing my pores and oil on my nose, and I absolutely felt refreshed and cleared after I began cleansing my face with this.
If you have any residual make-up residue, it is also a good remedy to remove them. This is the product that keeps my pores tight and clean.
Although each skin has its own needs, each skin needs a serum, depending on the skin type and age, the need and type of serum may differ. When it comes to serum for me, the first brand that comes to my mind is The Ordinary. I use The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% Zinc 1%.
Niacinamide is a sebum-balancing B vitamin. Zinc also has a soothing and healing effect on the skin. Although it is a sebum-balancing ingredient, niacinamide also has an incredible moisturizing effect. It is definitely not a product that dries the skin and makes it dull.
I have heard how effective this product is for acne blemishes so many times, so, I think those with acne problems will love this product. Even seconds after you apply it to your face, your skin gets so much smoother, moisturized, and younger.
The most important thing to be aware of here is that it is not recommended to use Niacinamide and vitamin C together. I also prefer to use some days day/night and some days only at night. The only thing I dislike was its structure. It's a little sticky, but you endure it as you see its effects.
At the same time, The Ordinary Aha 30% Bha 2% Peeling Solution is one of the most successful products of The Ordinary brand that I have tried.
